Third-party verified EPDs enable construction industry professionals and project managers to compare the environmental footprint of building materials using environmental indicators such as global warming potential (GWP).
Among the EPD-verified “Fineo” products, the 8 mm low-carbon version is characterized by a significantly reduced ecological footprint. This variant is based on the low-carbon glass series “Planibel”, which is produced in highly efficient melting furnaces with a holistic approach, for example through a higher proportion of waste glass (recycled glass), renewable electricity or soda with the lowest possible CO2-Footprint. The 8 mm low carbon “Fineo” only achieves 18.9 kg CO2-Eq./m², making it one of the insulating glass units with the lowest EPD value on the market.
