Sustainable building renovation: Renowave.at Impact Days 2025
In addition to inspiring lectures, participants at the Renowave.at Impact Days 2025 from November 12th to 14th in the Spitzefabrik in St. Pölten (Lower Austria) can expect a diverse program with workshops, project presentations and networking formats. The aim is to jointly develop sustainable strategies, use synergies and provide new impetus for a climate-neutral construction and renovation culture in Austria. The program is supplemented by the Serial Renovation exhibition and various information stands. A diverse program promotes exchange, knowledge transfer and cooperation between research, business, politics and civil society. The highlights:
Day 1: Orientation
A keynote will highlight the challenges and opportunities of restructuring in Austria. Current developments such as the renovation monitor, the renovation pass and new approaches to sustainable construction are presented in short impulses. The afternoon is dedicated to the Lower Austrian Housing Research Impulse Day, which shows perspectives on affordable, communal living and innovative renovation solutions.

Day 2: Solutions with systemic potential
Projects for climate-fit neighborhoods combine renovation with urban development. A workshop by the Kraisbau research project shows how digital tools and AI combine efficiency and climate protection. The topic of serial renovation with prefabricated elements is also addressed - an approach for quick, resource-saving implementation in existing buildings. In the afternoon the focus will be on densification, land recycling and smart renovation. At the same time, start-ups and SMEs will be presenting innovations under “New Product Solutions” – from digital tools to ecological materials. Further highlights include the “Warm transition now!” sessions. and natuREbuilt, which deal with socially just energy supply and the use of renewable raw materials.
Day 3: B2B and B2C
The third day of the conference is aimed specifically at private owners for the first time and is designed as an open forum in the afternoon where everyone can find out more: experts provide advice at topic tables on heating systems, photovoltaics and subsidies. In addition, short lectures from the Renovation Quality Platform provide insights into sustainable solutions. The morning is also dedicated to the exchange of knowledge: companies and research institutions show successful projects in tandem lectures. At the same time, a world café addresses practical challenges.

Exhibition Serial Renovation
The innovation laboratory Renowave.at This year is once again presenting the possibilities of serial renovation as part of an exhibition at the Renowave.at Impact Days. The method of serial renovation is already established in other countries and could also make a decisive contribution to accelerating the wave of renovation in Austria. The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of innovative solutions that make it possible to renovate multi-story residential and commercial buildings in just a few weeks. Leading companies present their latest technologies and methods. The exhibition promotes the networking of supply and demand and is supplemented by general information on serial renovation and current research projects.
