Tyrolit WSE912: Complete cutting processes despite phase loss
Coinciding with the official launch of the Tyrolite The “WSE912” compact wall saw was used on a very suitable construction site in the first half of 2025 - as part of the renovation of the facade of a residential building in Solothurn, twelve balconies were dismantled and were to be replaced by a more modern version after the cutting work. The balconies were separated into two parts, cut away from the wall and transported away by crane.

According to Tyrolit, this project proved to be particularly suitable for the WSE912. With freely attachable saw blades with diameters of up to 700 mm and a maximum blade diameter of up to 925 mm, it can be used to carry out the majority of all cutting work, especially in tight spaces such as on balconies. A modular design and components that can be quickly separated from each other should also make the WSE912 extremely service and maintenance friendly. In addition, even in the event of a phase failure, the cutting process can still be completed thanks to the “OmniGrid” technology of the associated “PPE12RR” control.
In preparation for the cutting work, various (corner) drillings were necessary in order to pass the crane chain through for securing and later removal. To do this, the employees of Bohrex AG used the Tyrolit core drilling range and immediately tested the new “DRA400 MKII” drill stand. Following the drilling, carefully planned wall saw cuts were made. Since the apartment block remained inhabited throughout the entire dismantling period, a safe cutting and dismantling sequence was a must. Within a week, all twelve balconies were dismantled as planned. "We were one of the first dismantling professionals to test the compact WSE912 from Tyrolit and were thoroughly impressed with the performance and handling of the machine. I can definitely recommend it, especially for projects like this," emphasizes Thomas Aeberhard from Bohrex.
According to the manufacturer, the components of the WSE912 wall saw system are impressive, among other things, due to their user-friendliness - the compact saw head has an integrated drive motor and a water-cooled swivel arm and thus ensures maximum performance and reliability. With the appropriate equipment, dry cutting is also possible, as the manufacturer emphasizes.
The design of the all-in-one blade protector of the WSE912 ensures maximum stability; the smooth interior significantly minimizes dirt adhesion, according to Tyrolit, which also makes cleaning much easier. The blade guard is height-adjustable up to 40 millimeters, has openings for a visual depth scale as well as a flush cutting function and can be operated without tools.
The “PPE12RR” electrical control guarantees maximum operational safety and protection against vibrations on sensitive components. This was designed for modular use and can therefore also be used for ring sawing, for example. The control is also equipped with an integrated “MoveSmart” module as standard. The wall sawing system is rounded off by practical accessories such as a compact and versatile transport trolley and an ultra-light rail system. Tyrolit also offers a range of diamond saw blades in TGD technology with which the maximum cutting performance can be achieved from the wall saw system.
The highlight of the electrical control, however, is the innovative “OmniGrid” technology, which allows concrete cutting work to be completed even when the power supply is unreliable, such as phase loss, supply voltages that are too low or other faults. This makes it even possible to work in a single-phase network and with long cable lengths and therefore large distances to the power supply and to get the job done, as the manufacturer promises.
Husqvarna Construction Prime series: Off through the wall

The “Prime” series, updated some time ago Husqvarna Construction is designed to handle any task, from drilling an 80-millimeter core to cutting through a 455-millimeter-thick wall. The heart of the system is the “PP 8” power supply unit, which provides all the required power without emissions during operation. Water-cooled and protected from dust and heat, the unit features a simple user interface with visual LED indicators and integrated connectors. Customers can run all Prima power cutters and drill motors from the same power supply, allowing them to scale and add additional Prime devices as business and customer needs require.
The “K 7000 Chain FlushCut” can be used to cut flush against the wall, floor or ceiling, allowing for a smooth surface in door openings, for example. According to the manufacturer, the solution is well suited for fast-moving environments. The machine uses the same motor, electronics and handle as the K 7000 model, but features a redesigned motor plate, chain tensioner and chain cover to enable flush cutting on flat surfaces. Combined with the PP 8 power supply, K 7000 and K 7000 ring, the result is an excellent combination for on the go. All cut-off machines are equipped with the “X-Halt” knife brake function, which is installed in the PP 8 Power Pack. The braking function protects customers by stopping the rotation of the blade in a split second when the algorithm detects abnormal blade speed.
Hilti DST 20-CA: Lightweight wall saw

The electric diamond wall saw “DST 20-CA” is extremely compact and easy to handle Hilti. According to the manufacturer, the 32A electric high-frequency wall saw weighs around 60 percent less system weight, has a maximum cutting depth of up to 73 centimeters with a 1600 millimeter blade and has integrated electronics. The diamond saw also does not require an external electrical box, which reduces the risk of cable breaks and makes work easier.
The sawing process is optimized using an integrated “CutAssist”, which, according to the manufacturer, ensures a 15 percent higher cutting speed. Users would have to set the necessary parameters, press the start button and the wall saw would start working. This would allow employees to do other things at the same time, such as preparing the next work steps. The remote control with 2400 MHz band with frequency hopping technology and a range of around 20 meters shows the cutting depth on the display in real time.
By eliminating the need for an additional electrical box, as well as its low weight and improved ergonomics, the wall saw can be set up quickly. Long setup and transport times are no longer necessary, so users can quickly start using diamond saws. This is precisely where the vibration-optimized wall saw DST 20-CA scores with its high performance, emphasizes Hilti. Compared to the DS-TS 20-E wall saw, for example, it enables 30 percent more power and 200 percent more torque. The saw's application options are correspondingly versatile - cutting out and openings in concrete, demolishing walls and floors, separating and cutting artificial or natural stone right through to heavily reinforced reinforced concrete can all be easily accomplished with the wall saw, even in hard-to-reach places, as the manufacturer emphasizes.
Bosch Expert series for dust extraction: working without thick air

Low-dust work is an important factor for the health of professionals, especially when working with concrete on construction sites. Here sets Bosch with its solutions for dust extraction. The “SDS Clean plus-8X” and “SDS Clean max-8X” suction drills from the “Expert” range of accessories ensure up to 25 times better dust removal than a counterpart without dust extraction. This protects users, machines and accessories and makes work easier, as the manufacturer promises. The portfolio also includes the “Expert SDS Clean” adapter for drilling with conventional SDS plus drills of five to 16 millimeters, which is also suitable for overhead work, as well as the “Expert SDS Clean Set for RTec chisels”, which can remove material particularly efficiently. The solutions prevent dust pollution during demolition work, for example. All solutions can be easily connected to an external extraction system.
The Expert SDS Clean plus-8X drills for drilling diameters of twelve to 20 millimeters and Expert SDS Clean max-8X for drilling diameters of 20 to 32 millimeters suck out drilling dust directly at the source through a steel pipe that surrounds the drill over its entire length. The steel pipe can be removed for cleaning, for example if it is blocked by wet concrete. This is a clear advantage over suction drills, which only have small openings on the drill head and are difficult or impossible to clean.
Kemroc KDS diamond saws: precise cutting

Whether for fiberglass expansion, demolition work, recycling or cutting concrete, “KDS diamond saws” from Kemroc According to the manufacturer, they are the right choice for contractors who need to handle a wide range of cutting work. The “KDS 20” model, for example, is designed for two to four ton excavators and is particularly effective on narrow construction sites. Thanks to high speeds and a large selection of saw blades, the KDS series can handle a wide variety of materials - including natural stone, granite, concrete and reinforced concrete, asphalt, plastics, wood, foil and aluminum.
