Kok Austria & Keramiko 2026: The industry meets in Wels

From January 14th to 16th, 2026, the Wels trade fair will once again become the vibrant center of the Austrian and international tiled stove, tile and ceramics industry. The two trade fairs Kok Austria and Keramiko will not take place in parallel in 2026, but rather in a common exhibition area for the first time. A milestone that is intended to offer both exhibitors and visitors a variety of opportunities and advantages.

The international trade fair for tiles, tiled stoves and ceramics at Messe Wels is the first important industry show of the year. The most important market leaders and leading companies show their innovations and industry trends on over 10,000 square meters and meet a highly qualified specialist audience - from craft businesses to dealers to international experts - who find out about future-oriented developments. The trade fair not only provides impetus for the entire industry, but also brings together the expertise in the areas of stove construction, tiles and ceramics.

"Kok Austria and Keramiko is much more than just a trade fair. It is a platform that brings industry experts together, makes innovations visible and creates synergies. From the reach to the expert audience to the diverse networking opportunities - the trade fair offers optimal conditions for both visitors and exhibitors. We offer the platform to set trends and actively shape the future to help shape it,” says Robert Schneider, Managing Director at Messe Wels.

According to a press release, the merger of Kok Austria and Keramiko in a common exhibition area is a real benefit - for visitors and exhibitors alike. Many companies are mixed operations that are active in both oven construction and the tile and ceramic sector. Visitors from the D-A-CH area as well as from Eastern Europe, France and Austria's neighboring countries demonstrate the importance of the international trade fair as the most important industry meeting point.

"Planning for the Kok Austria & Keramiko 2026 is progressing quickly. The call for tenders for the European Championship in tiled stove construction has already been made, and some countries are still organizing a national qualification for their participants. At the 2026 trade fair there will be a special topic 'Tile stove +'. This involves combinations with other renewable forms of heating. The planning of the 64th technical conference is already underway initial priorities set. In addition to many practical lectures, there will be a focus on the sensible application of artificial intelligence for tilers and potters. There is a new focus for vocational students on Wednesday, January 14th. There are also innovations in the social evening events. On Wednesday you are invited to a cozy get-together in the city, the popular 'exhibitor evening' takes place on Thursday in the Exhibition hall 20. Overall, the trade fair will be a mixture of the tried and tested and some innovations. Plan the most important industry date in 2026 now!”
says Thomas Schiffert, Managing Director of the Austrian Tiled Stove Association.

Programs at a glance

The trade fair offers networking opportunities where exhibitors and trade visitors can forge strategic partnerships - such as at the convivial industry meeting point on Wednesday, which is celebrating a revival in downtown Wels. You are invited to the exhibitor evening on Thursday in exhibition hall 20.

A special highlight of the trade fair is the Veuko European Championship in tiled stove construction. Talented young potters compete in this international competition on Wednesday and Thursday. The task is to build a tiled stove with the latest combustion technology. The work is continually evaluated by a jury of experts. In the tile practical area, visitors can also experience the high art of craftsmanship live at the trade fair and look over the shoulders of the industry's young talent. The winners will be ceremoniously honored on Thursday evening.

The 64th Technical Conference addresses future topics such as artificial intelligence, provides information about relevant innovations and answers current questions in the industry. A valuable training opportunity that promotes professional exchange between experts, exhibitors and visitors. The technical conference is integrated directly into the trade fair area and is held as a silent conference.

"It is important that this technical conference, including the new introductions and presentations from our partner companies, continues to exist. In this time of electronic communication, there must also be personal exchange. We are therefore pleased that the majority of our suppliers have already registered for this important industry event. We hope that our craft companies take the time to visit their manufacturers at the stands in a comfortable setting, to educate themselves and also exchange with each other. We are in the fortunate position of being able to organize this event through the professional associations and guilds. “It is therefore really to be hoped that the companies will accept the offer and that we can spend some great hours of community and further training in Wels,” says Anita Wolf, Managing Director of the Austrian Tile Association.

In order to get young people excited about the trades and to secure young talent in the industry, a special program will be put together for vocational schools on Wednesday, January 14th.
