New chairman of the Austrian timber construction industry
Martin Bruderhofer is the new chairman of the construction professional group of the Austrian Wood Industry Association. He succeeds Manfred Gaulhofer.

On the occasion of his election, Bruderhofer said: "I would like to thank the members for their trust and their clear vote. Together we want to advance timber construction and improve the framework conditions for building with timber. Austria is one of the world's leading countries in timber construction, and our products are highly valued internationally."
From prefabricated house to solid wood panel industry
Bruderhofer sees the following priorities in his new task: "Wood as a raw material is the backbone of our industry: ecologically sensible and economically valuable. In the wood industry, we are jointly faced with the task of making our processes leaner and more sustainable. A clear concentration on the essentials enables us to act effectively, use synergies and exploit existing cost potential. Through joint action, Through targeted innovation, efforts to create practical framework conditions and the responsible use of resources, we can sustainably secure our competitiveness and strengthen the position of our industry.”
The timber construction and timber construction products sector in the timber industry association covers building with timber as well as numerous sectors of building material production, including the glued laminated timber, cross-laminated timber, window, door, parquet, timber and prefabricated house and solid wood panel industries. The construction professional group of the Austrian Wood Industry Association includes around 85 companies, mostly family-owned, with around 5,600 employees.
About Bruderhofer
Martin Bruderhofer (born 1975) has been working for Mosser since 2018 and is managing director of Mosser Holzindustrie and Mosser Leimholz in Randegg. He previously held management positions at Elk Fertighaus (2017-2018) and Doka (2001-2017). In 2000, Bruderhofer completed the wood technology and management course at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna as a qualified engineer.
