Success at the professional European Championships
Austria's construction industry achieved top positions at the European Professional Championships. The highlight: a gold medal for the concrete workers.

Success at the professional European Championships
After three strenuous days it was done: Lukas Miedler and Lukas Ritzberger (both Habau) won the gold medal in the concrete construction category at the European Professional Championships in Denmark. "European champions sounds strong! It was hard, but we were well prepared and performed well. Thanks to our employer and our trainer Thomas Prigl, who supported us so well in the preparation and here in Herning," said the two winners happily.
Winning streak extended
Austria's concrete builders have continued their winning streak that began in 2015. That was when the concrete construction category was introduced for the first time. Structural engineer Stefan Lanzl (construction company Lanzl) secured sixth place and a “Medallion for Excellence”, which is only awarded if a very high number of points are achieved. In a strong field of participants, he ultimately missed bronze by eight points. The builders' association is happy with the active participants: "These results show once again that the triple training system of the Austrian construction industry - consisting of a company, vocational school and apprentice building yard - produces skilled workers who are among the best in international comparison."
