High automation and easier operation
The Schröder Group is primarily showing folding machines at Blechexpo 2025. The highlight is the MAK 4 Evolution UD for the fully automatic processing of sheets up to six millimeters thick.

High automation and easier operation
The MAK 4 Evolution UD will be shown at Blechexpo in the version with a 3200 mm working length, fully equipped with automatic tool changers for the upper beam and bending beam, which significantly shorten set-up times. With the POS 3000 3D graphic control, the up-and-down bending beam and the Advanced Handling System (AHS), workpieces can be finished fully automatically after striking the sheet metal once. The AHS is a pneumatic stop on a turntable. Boards measuring up to 3,700 × 1,500 millimeters and weighing up to 236 kilograms can be positioned safely and precisely. The AHS includes a camera system for measuring the sheet metal contour, motorized homing axes for attaching and its own safety concept.
Ingenious functions
With the motorized folding machine PowerBend Multi (PBM) 4000 × 2.0 millimeters, Schröder presents three special features: The stop can be set at an angle to enable conical bending. This makes it possible to produce profiles that can be pushed precisely into one another. The PBM's motorized bending beam adjustment enables quick changes between different sheet thicknesses without manual intervention. And the rotating upper beam not only offers flexibility, but also the practical closing function: hollow envelopes can be made completely at once with the bending beam instead of in two steps with the upper beam as before. This pinch function is now also available on another machine shown at the trade fair: the PowerBend Professional. This function allows hollow envelopes to be produced industrially in series with the greatest repeat accuracy.
Bending, cutting
Another folding powerhouse is the PowerBend Industrial UD 4000 × 5.0 millimeters. It is the ideal solution for the industrial processing of thick and thin, large-area sheets. Its biggest advantage is the upper beam stroke of 850 millimeters, which enables box depths of up to 400 millimeters. Thanks to the motorized bending beam pivoting, the change between positive and negative bends with the up-and-down bending beam is particularly quick and precise. The topic of cutting will be covered at the Schröder stand with the PDC 3200 × 3.0 mm motorized guillotine shears. The motorized cutting gap adjustment avoids annoying manual adjustments and operating errors, as the position is automatically calculated by the control. Due to the cutting gap setting of 0.02 mm, the PDC cuts almost burr-free, especially in thin sheet metal. (gw)
