WELDING & CUTTING: Back to the four-year rhythm

From theSeptember 15th to 19th, 2025The international industry meets at the world's leading welding and cutting trade fair in Essen and looks at the future of joining, cutting and coating technology. Under the motto Join the Future, around 800 exhibitors from 42 countries will show their innovations and ideas. New trends and perspectives as well as the opportunity to expand one's own network await the trade audience: "With the guiding theme Join the Future, the trade fair focuses on what moves the industry: What does the future look like and how can it be helped to shape it," says Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen. Roland Boecking (DVS) adds: “The trade fair provides important inspiration on the topics of digitalization and sustainability.” In addition to the focus on welding and cutting, the trade fair covers numerous other subject areas such as surface technology, gases, equipment and safety as well as quality assurance. In cooperation with the IndustryFusion Foundation and the DVS, the trade fair is presenting the IF Digital Award to particularly future-oriented exhibitors for the first time. The award honors products and services that advance the digitalization of the industry. The audience decides which company will hold the trophy by voting via the trade fair app. Lectures from top-class experts and comprehensive panel discussions await trade visitors at the Future Hub. The new presentation platform focuses on future-oriented topics such as digitalization, sustainability and exploiting potential. After this year's event, welding and cutting will switch back to the original four-year rhythm. It will then take place from September 17th to 21st, 2029. www.schweissen-schneid.com

MOTEK/BONDEXPO: Postponed to 2026

Change of plans at trade fair organizer P. E. Schall: The previously annual Motek/Bondexpo trade fair double is changing to a two-year cycle, the event originally planned for autumn 2025 will be postponed to 2026. The international trade fairs for assembly and adhesive technology will now take place in Stuttgart next year from October 6th to 8th, 2026, with a shortened trade fair duration of three days. “This decision corresponds to the wishes of many exhibitors,” says project manager Rainer Bachert. Motek/Bondexpo covers the entire process chain for assembly automation as well as joining/connecting by gluing. The target group of the two trade fairs are manufacturing companies from many industries such as mechanical and plant engineering, sheet metal and metal processing. What is new is a close cooperation with the simultaneous trade fair Vision (image processing).  www.motek-messe.de / www.bondexpo-messe.de

PARTS2 CLEAN: Clean parts and clean surfaces

The solutions offered by the exhibitors at this year's parts2clean are as diverse as the tasks in everyday metal construction: from degreasing and deburring to classic component cleaning to ultra-fine or high purity applications. The leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning takes place at the Stuttgart exhibition centerOctober 7th to 9th, 2025take place. Because the quality and perfect function of products depends crucially on the cleanliness of individual components, parts cleaning is an essential value creation factor in all metal and steel areas. Defined cleanliness requirements must be achieved in a stable and economical manner, and parts cleaning must be made more energy- and resource-efficient through stricter climate protection requirements. This is a challenge for many companies. The possible current solutions for the surface quality and parts cleaning of workpieces can be obtained from the numerous international market and technology leaders at the trade fair.  www.parts2clean.de

PARTS FINISHING 2025: Canceled

“The very cautious investment activity, including in trade fair participation, has led to us canceling the Parts Finishing 2025 planned for November,” says the organizer fairXperts. The trade fair concept was innovative; they wanted to present three topics under one roof over two days. “We actually met with a very positive response to this idea right from the start and until recently had a promising number of registrations,” reports Nicolas Herdin, managing director of the trade fair organizer. “However, various companies have now canceled their registration.” The justifications are different. Savings constraints were mentioned, as were the uncertain economic situation and difficulties in assessing the company's business development. This situation caused the trade fair organizer to cancel the planned event with a heavy heart. “For us, despite the financial losses, this is a better alternative than holding an event where both exhibitors and visitors are ultimately dissatisfied,” adds Nicolas Herdin. The company management will discuss further developments and a new date for the trade fair with the exhibitor advisory board. www.fairxperts.de
