Bosch is expanding its top performance class Expert with its most powerful cordless reciprocating saw Expert EXSA18V-32. With its brushless biturbo high-performance motor, this delivers the equivalent power as a wired 1,300 watt device and cuts metal almost effortlessly.
Powerful saber saw for pipes and profiles
The brushless biturbo motor offers up to 3,000 strokes per minute in the highest of the six speed levels with a stroke length of 32 millimeters. The maximum cutting depth in metal (profiles and pipes) is up to 250 millimeters. Bosch recommends using an EXBA18V-55 battery with a capacity of 5.5 amp-hours or higher. With these batteries and matching saw blades (Bosch Expert Thick Tough Metal blades with Bosch Carbide Technology), the reciprocating saw can handle demanding applications in metal construction such as steel profiles and heavy cast iron pipes.
KickBack Control prevents the saw blades from bending
For example, if a reciprocating saw gets stuck while cutting pipes and metal I-beams, this can lead to painful kickbacks and injuries. The integrated kickback control stops the reciprocating saw immediately as soon as the blade tilts. This minimizes the risk of injuries and at the same time prevents the saw blades from bending or even breaking. The integrated Stop Control also ensures that the saw blade stops immediately as soon as it leaves the material. Both functions can be switched on and off individually at any time. The integrated Vibration Control, in turn, minimizes strong hand-arm and whole-body vibrations, thereby reducing the risk of premature fatigue or long-term damage. A counterweight also offers protection by permanently counteracting the mass forces. The rubber damping element in the handle offers additional passive protection; the lower vibration allows longer work.
Precise and ergonomic work
The Adaptive Speed Control function ensures that the saw blade initially starts slowly when cutting and then increases to the desired number of strokes. When cutting hard materials such as metal pipes, this prevents damage that would otherwise occur due to uncontrolled movements of the saw blade on the material surface. This function can also be switched on and off. The saw blade can be changed quickly and without tools, even when wearing work gloves. The ergonomic handle allows you to work comfortably in different positions. The 180-degree LED ensures ideal illumination of the work area. The Expert EXSA18V-32 cordless reciprocating saw will be available from January 2026. (gw)
